We asked our clients a few questions about training with us, and this is what they had to say.
Q: What is your favorite part about training?
We spend a lot of time on proper technique which is critical. I have learned it is not about how much I lift, but rather how I lift, that has led to the biggest gains in strength.
Not having to figure it out alone. Knowing Adam is as committed to my training goals as I am. He pushes me to my potential despite my doubts and he also knows/respects my limitations. Before I knew it, my "work outs" eventually became my warm ups.
I have really enjoyed feeling stronger after each session, and how each session is progressively and appropriately more challenging than the last. Each session gives me the motivation to do more each time I train with Adam and even the motivation to be more active outside of training with Adam on my own as I continue to see results week after week.
I have been training with Adam twice a week since January of 2015. My experience working out with him has been great. He is very encouraging and gets more out of me that I ever would be able to do on my own. When I feel I cannot do an exercise, Adam always demonstrates and breaks it down for me. Our sessions are always an hour filled with hard work.
Q: What kind of results have you gotten from training?
I've lost 15 pounds so far, I fit into all my clothes again and I have more energy than ever! Training has also increased my confidence and improved my overall wellbeing!
I cycle a lot and we have spent a lot of time on my lower body and core. I participated in a 110 mile bike ride this summer for the 15th time and these last 3 years of training have resulted in my strongest and fastest rides to date.
At the age of 69, having dealt with many injuries in the past I was pleased to see myself get stronger and lose weight with zero pain, Adam's training and nutritional guidance have made losing weight and getting stronger at my age easier than I ever thought possible. I am now more active with walking, hiking, and gardening, something I'm very happy about.
I have definitely seen a difference in myself as a result of training with Adam. I have lost a substantial amount of weight and I am the most fit I’ve ever been. I have never considered myself to be an athlete or to be athletic in any kind of way. One day I was doing an exercise and Adam said to me- you’re looking like an athlete. This is why I train with Adam.
Q: If someone (friend, colleague, family member) wasn't sure about starting training, what would you tell them?
Don't give up on your goals! Training is the best gift you can give to yourself. The positive impact of training translates into every aspect of life...... And losing weight at ANY age IS possible!!!
As I explained to my wife, who this summer began training with Adam too, this is not someone yelling in your face "give me one more". This is customized to you, for you, and designed to help you improve while emphasizing proper technique. You will find both your strength and endurance improve.
At first I had my doubts about whether or not I could do something like this at my age. However, Adam was highly recommended to me by a colleague of mine. I was extremely impressed with Adam's understanding of the body and my limitations and how he was able to modify and design exercises to meet my needs. I highly suggest working with him, he understands that each person is different and can design a workout routine around your goals and limitations that will get you the results you want.
